I received this through Netgalley and I appreciated the opportunity to read and review this book. Well, until a painting worth a lot of money goes missing.

That being said, I liked the book. The characters are richly detailed and so charming you can't help but get immediately involved with them. While arranging a charity garage sale event, Jennifer finds a body in the attic of a local residence. I even came across a few Tiger smilies which were rather cute. But her keen eye for finding valuables also gets her involved in the criminal investigations that happen at the very second-hand sales she frequents. My two favourite things are Garage Sales and Stalkers though not necessarily together! I thought it was going to be a cozy mystery but to my surprise and enjoyment it was thrilling and a bit intense.
While working to crack the case, Jennifer offers support to her loving husband, Jason, whose upcoming birthday has sparked a mid-life crisis. It was supposed to be a stroke of genius and the logical next step for her to take. She realizes it is the same man who knocked her down at her last stop. Working with Detective Adam Iverson Andrew Dunbar , Jennifer puts together a theory that the perpetrators of the burglaries are fellow garage sale regulars. Add the entire Shannon family into the mix and you have a family film sure to entire your clan as well. Whatever you choose, I enjoy hearing from you! The main character, Jennifer Shannon, lives in secure, affluent McLean, Virginia, where she stumbles into danger lurking in places she thought absolutely safe. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Jenn buys an old reel-to-reel recorder at a garage sale only to find that it includes the sound of a man pleading for his life.
It does move right along and it kept me reading, although near the end I kept checking the percentage left to see if it was finally going to be over. Really enjoyed this story about a mom who goes garge saleing every weekend while her family sleeps. As far as I can tell, they are based on mystery book series. Jennifer Shannon puts the winning bid on a vintage Welte-Mignon player piano at the estate auction of a wealthy philanthropist, but soon realizes that the late owner may have led a less than charitable life and was murdered by someone looking to cash in on his ill-gotten gains. I look forward to Garage Sale Stalker by Suzi Weinert is the first book in the Garage Sale mystery series.
Who doesn't love a good mystery murder film? However, it does look like the date is wrong for the premiere. This series seems to stand head and shoulders taller than other cozy mysteries out there. For me, the book definitely delivered! At Sandra's store in Madison, Jennifer discovers a basement filled with beautiful antiques, and they find the body of Sandra's former fiance, Michael Chambers Frank Zotter , whom Sandra thought had left her for another woman when he had disappeared two years ago. There were just two drawbacks for me. She finds a blood stain on a pocket and investigation turns up Helen Carter, the bride, together with the story that the groom disappeared between the wedding and the reception after the wedding.
One of the pictures leads her to believe that the man's death was anything but accidental. I started this book expecting a cosy crime however this story was far from it.
